Little vs Few
Little, a little, few, a few
They are
use to express “not much”.
A little, a few with a noun:
We
use a little with singular uncountable nouns.
We
use a few with plural countable nouns.
Examples:

Mary
said nothing, but she drank some tea and ate a little bread.

We
stayed a few days in Florence and visited the museums.
Reminder!
Singular: ONE thing. |
Example: dog. |
Plural: more than 2 things. |
Example: dogs. |
Uncountable nouns: do not use “a” or “an” before the word because it cannot be plural or measurable with numbers. |
Example: happiness (we cannot say “happiness or two happiness”). |
Countable nouns: use “a” or “an” before the word because it can be plural and measurable with numbers. |
Example: a book or two books. |
